Built for the Big Guys.Priced Out of Your Reach.

The drone mapping and Virtual Design & Construction platforms that national builders rely on come wrapped in enterprise contracts, annual minimums, and per-seat licensing. The kind of money that only pencils out when you're running dozens of sites at once.

So the small general contractor gets left with a tape measure, a phone full of blurry jobsite photos, and a clipboard. You're expected to compete with the big builders while flying blind on the very data they take for granted.

That gap isn't a technology problem. It's a pricing problem.

One Small Business to Another.

Wyndstep isn't a venture-backed platform chasing thousands of enterprise seats. It's a lean, low-overhead operation focused on one kind of customer: the small general contractor who wants the same site intelligence the big builders use, without the big-builder invoice.

Because the overhead is low and the focus is narrow, the pricing can be honest. You pay per service for exactly what you need — no contracts, no seat licenses, no minimums. The mission is simple: put professional-grade site data in the hands of the contractors who've been priced out of it.

Aerial and ground-level capture of an active construction site

Air and Ground. Most Only Give You Half.

Drone-only providers map your rooftops and earthwork but miss what's happening inside and under the structure. Ground-only documentation captures the details but never the full-site context.

Wyndstep captures both — aerial orthomosaics and 3D models from above, plus ground-level capture where it matters — and fuses them into one workspace. You get the complete picture of your jobsite, not half of it.

  • Aerial mapping for site-wide context and earthwork
  • Ground capture for structural and interior detail
  • One unified VDC workspace tying it all together

Subcontractor delay & dispute

When the Sub Says They're Ahead — Prove It Or Kill It.

Delays and quantity fights with earthwork, grading, and material trades eat schedule and margin. Phone photos and walk-downs aren't enough when an invoice and a site condition don't match. Wyndstep gives you measurable, dated evidence from the air.

  • Time-stamped orthomaps show what was actually complete on the day you flew.
  • Volume and quantity measurements replace rough field estimates in invoice fights.
  • Share a secure link — owners and subs argue with data, not your super's memory.

Owner payment & draw disputes

Stop Waiting on Money You Already Earned.

When an owner holds a draw or questions retainage, blurry jobsite pics and your word against theirs won't move the invoice. Time-stamped aerial progress documentation makes what's done — and what isn't — impossible to argue away.

  • Document percent-complete with maps owners can open in a browser — no special software.
  • Support pay applications and retainage releases with dated progress comparisons.
  • Replace “trust us” with a paper trail that holds up in a draw dispute.

Change order & scope disputes

Scope Creep Is Expensive When You Can't Prove the Baseline.

Change-order fights start when nobody agrees what the site looked like before the extra work. A georeferenced baseline and as-built record turns “that was always there” into a dated, measurable comparison.

  • Capture existing conditions before work starts so scope boundaries are clear.
  • Compare captures over time to show what changed — and when it changed.
  • Defend change orders with visual history instead of emails and phone snaps.

Win more work

Bigger GCs Show Up With Professional Documentation. Now You Can Too.

When owners evaluate bids, they're not just looking at your number — they're evaluating your professionalism and your risk. A GC who shows up with accurate site maps, documented existing conditions, and a clear baseline looks like less of a liability. That matters when you're competing against firms twice your size.

Without Wyndstep
  • Bids built on rough estimates and site walks
  • Hard to document existing site conditions
  • No visual record if conditions change scope
  • Owners can’t easily visualize your plan
With Wyndstep
  • Accurate orthomap of existing conditions before you bid
  • Baseline documentation protects your scope
  • 3D models help owners visualize and trust your plan
  • You look like the professional in the room

Stay on schedule

Catch Problems Before They Cost You a Week.

By the time a scheduling problem is visible from the ground, you're already behind. Scheduled recurring capture gives you a bird's-eye view of progress across your whole site — grading completions, phase boundaries, stockpile volumes — so you can spot drift before it compounds. Capture more frequently during high-risk phases; scale back when the work settles.

48hr

Typical turnaround from flight to delivered data

1 flight

Replaces hours of manual measurement and site walking

Date-stamped

Records organized by project and capture date — a visual history you can defend

Phase progress at a glance

See exactly what’s complete, what’s underway, and what’s stalled — across your whole site, not just where your super walked today.

Stockpile volumes, measured

Know your material quantities without manual counts. Avoid over-ordering, under-ordering, and the arguments that come with both.

Time-series documentation

Schedule recurring captures of the same site and build a date-stamped visual record of progression — invaluable for owner reporting and change order defense.

See what your site actually looks like from above.

Remote site visibility

You Can't Be on Three Job Sites at Once. We Can.

Scheduled jobsite capture at the frequency your project needs — daily, weekly, monthly, or at critical milestones. Principals and PMs get remote visibility into every active site without another truck on the road, and without equipment purchases or long-term platform commitments.

  • Scheduled jobsite capture at the frequency you need

Daily, weekly, monthly, or at critical milestones — capture more frequently during high-risk phases, and scale frequency up or down as the project changes.

  • Date-stamped records by project and capture date

Every capture lands in one portal, organized so you can compare progress over time. Share individual site links with owners, PMs, or investors without giving away access to everything.

  • Recurring progress documentation without extra work for the GC

We handle scheduling, capture, and delivery. You review the data before your next site visit — and show up already knowing what to ask.

“Can't I Just Hire a Drone Guy Off Thumbtack?”

You can hire a drone. You can't hire the thing that actually protects you when a job goes sideways.

Processed data, not footage

Orthophotos, point clouds, 3D surface models, and volume calcs — not raw video. A raw clip doesn’t win a dispute. Measurable data does.

Local North Texas crew

We know DFW construction. Fast turnaround, easy scheduling, and we show up knowing what a Texas job site looks like — not learning on your dime.

A portal you can share

All your site data in one place. Send a link to your owner, your PM, or your sub. Nobody argues with a time-stamped 3D model.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost?
You pay by capture session for exactly what you need — no equipment purchase, long-term platform commitment, annual minimums, or per-seat licensing. Pricing depends on site size and which deliverables you want. Request a quote and you’ll get a clear, itemized price up front.
Can I book just a single flight?
Absolutely. You select and pay for each capture session — no requirement to commit to a series. Book one capture for a critical milestone, or schedule recurring progress documentation at the frequency your project needs. Scale up during high-risk phases and down when work settles.
Do I need special software to view the data?
No. Everything lives in a cloud-based VDC workspace you open in your browser. Measurements, overlays, comparisons, and sharing all work without installing anything, and you can send secure links to subs and clients.
What’s included in the VDC workspace?
High-resolution orthomosaics, 3D models and point clouds, overlay your BIM and design files, progress comparisons over time, and measurement tools for distance, area, volume, and elevation — all included with your capture, not sold as add-ons.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Wyndstep is FAA Part 107 licensed and fully insured, and the operation is veteran-run. Every flight is conducted with safety-first, compliant procedures.
We’re too small for this — we don’t have a VDC budget.
That’s exactly who this is built for. Wyndstep is designed around smaller GCs who can’t justify a full VDC platform but still need defensible documentation. Pricing is per flight, so you’ll see what it costs — and what it saves — before you commit to anything.
My super can walk the site — why do I need aerial data?
Walk-downs are great for day-to-day. But when an owner disputes progress or a sub overbills on earthwork, your super’s estimate isn’t enough — a time-stamped orthomap and a volume calc is. This isn’t about replacing your crew; it’s about backing them up.
We tried drone stuff before — it was just raw video we never used.
Raw video is nearly useless for construction documentation. Wyndstep delivers processed deliverables — georeferenced maps, 3D surface models, cut/fill calculations — things you can actually put in a pay application or send to an owner. It’s a different product entirely.
I don’t have time to learn new software.
You don’t need to. We handle the flight, the processing, and delivery through a simple client portal. If you can share a link, you can use Wyndstep — and the consultation call walks you through exactly what you’d touch.
Is this a licensed land survey?
Wyndstep provides visual intelligence and earthwork volume estimates for site management and progress tracking. We do not provide licensed land surveying, boundary marking, or certified engineering surveys. Our data is built for project oversight, not legal or municipal filings.
